Description
Bella came to us with nine puppies and a wistful look in her eye. Good food and loving care have built up her health and won her trust. Now that her puppies are weaned, she's proving to be a relaxed, affectionate dog, exceptionally gentle with small children. She would make a great addition to a young family. She looks like a coonhound/boxer cross, but her temperament is more hound than boxer. She weighs around 55-lb, and we estimate her age at two years. Bella loves to play with toys, and if you aren't available to play with her she'll entertain herself for hours. She's a great watch dog who will bark ferociously at strangers, but has never shown any desire to bite. She is timid of men until she gets to know them, and will take a while to warm up to strange adults, but she wants to trust the people in her life. She is playful and friendly with other dogs, ignores horses, and will chase cats - although this seems to be play. Bella is smart and quick to learn; her foster family has taught her most of the basic commands, and she walks well on a leash. Her adoption fee of $225 includes spay, all shots including rabies, microchip, and worming.
